Rebuilt Volkswagen Performance Air Cooled Engines |

POWER MASTER VW Engines |
For 1972-1983 Air Cooled VW Bus, Van, Vanagon and 914 Porsche
If you’re the proud owner of one of these vehicles, you’re probably looking for more power. More power to move you into the fast lane or to get up that hill with ease and safety. The GEX POWER MASTER Series engines do all this and with the reliability of a stock engine. So reliable that they are still covered by the GEX 12 month or 12,000 mile Warranty. Why put back in the same inadequate engine that you took out, when you can move up to a GEX POWER MASTER engine and have it all ?? |
|
POWER MASTER engines include the following: |
2.0 liter AA Pistons and Cylinders
Big Valve Heads with 44 mm intake & 38 mm exhaust valves
Increased Compression Ratio
New Hydraulic Lifters
New Flywheel
New Push Rod Tubes |
All GEX Long Block engines are Hot Run Tested. This means that we temporarily install carburetion and other accessories to actually fire them up to run our complete battery of tests before the GEX name goes on. |

The above core charges are additional. These amounts are refundable if returning a 2.0 liter rebuildable engine. If returning a 1.7 or 1.8 liter engine the core refund would be $300.00 if rebuildable. The 2.0 liter engine numbers start with GD, GE or CV. |
To make that engine run cooler, smoother, longer and with less maintenance, we recommend that you consider the following options: |
|
2100 cc - We can now upgrade these engines to 96 mm Pistons & Cylinders changing from 2.0 liter to approximately 2.1 liter. |
|
Electronic Balancing - For longer life and a smooth running engine. |
|
Counterweighted Crankshaft - Allows engine to run smoother and ultimately to last longer. |
|
Maxi Oil Pump - Closer tolerances than a stock pump, provides added volume and increased oil pressure during low speed operation. |
|
Installation Kit - Now is the time to replace those worn out or missing accessories. |
|
The same 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty applies to engines with these options.

This is an everyday driver. I was able to install this engine with help and patience from the guys at GEX. This is the first time I have ever done my own mechanical work. It was a very satisfying experience. Thanks fellows.
