| GEX Rebuilt VW Cases |
Hand selected, single and dual pressure relief Type I, II & III cases, are first spray washer cleaned. They then have the cylinder base area surfaced on a Bridgeport Mill to insure that there will be no oil leads at the base of the cylinder due to uneven wear. Next, the holes for the case inserts are first drilled, then tapped out 4 at a time using multiple spindle drilling heads on 2 large Clausing drill presses. This insures exact alignment and spacing of the case inserts. Then the case inserts are installed. We use specially made inserts that have bottoms in them to prevent oil leaks from occurring around the cylinder head studs.

| Align boring is done on a Rottler boring machine. This insures the greatest degree of accuracy. Poorly align bored cases done with various hand held fixtures are a major cause of low oil pressure. |

GEX Resurfaced Flywheels |
|
| Flywheel cores are first checked for good teeth, good dowel pin holes and also to make sure it has not been worn or cut too deep. We then micro-polish the seal area, and resurface the dowel pin area. Finally, GEX flywheels are precision machined to exacting specifications on the clutch mating surface and on the pressure plate seating area. |
